Wink Takes Action.
Check out our Community Outreach Efforts & A Year's Worth of Campaigns!
We believe in the abundance theory. We receive so much support and love from our clients that giving back is a pleasure. Our campaigns include raising funds, collecting food and donating clothing for various local organizations. In the past we’ve teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters or WNC, Mission Hospital and, most recently, ABCCM and Manna Food Bank to raise money and awareness. Wink has contributed over $5000 in products and services since we opened our doors.
To volunteer, or if you have a great cause you'd like us to consider supporting, email us.
Wink in the Community:
Wink is hosting our 3rd Annual Manna Food Drive through the holidays. Bring in some cans to donate for our friends and neighbors of WNC. We've had huge success in the past so, help us do it again!
Wink is teaming up with R. Brooke Priddy to raise awareness and benefit LEAF in Schools and Streets at Highland Brewing Co on Saturday June 25th 2011.

Greetings friends,
We, Gilda Santiago and Christine DiBenedetto co-owners of Wink in Biltmore Village, have been long time friends of Rebecca Biggers owner of Lola Salon in downtown Asheville.
Recently she and her son were involved in a bad car accident. Although she and her son will be okay, Rebecca’s left hand was severely injured. As hair stylists our hands are our tools and without the use of them we have no career. At the moment Rebecca is not sure when she will be able to return to the workload that she had prior to the accident. One moment can severely impact someone’s financial world, and the ladies of Wink are coming together to show our support for our fellow colleague and friend. We also hope many of you out there will consider making a small donation to her and her family at this time. Any amount, large or small, would be greatly appreciated. We are all connected and when potentially devastating events occur, we hope that we can rely on our community for love and support.
We have created a website to accept your heartfelt donations.

Heartfelt thanks,
Gilda Santiago and Christine DiBenedetto

AshevilleLovesHenry.org
On Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 Businesses (including Wink!) are donating
11% of their revenue for Henry.
Henry is a 14-month old boy with a rare genetic condition that causes severe immune deficiencies and anemia. He is undergoing many procedures and must be away from home with his family at Duke Children's Hospital. Henry’s treatment will take many months and cost significantly.
Please consider donating and supporting "11% on 11/11" with the businesses listed at AshevilleLovesHenry.org. By patronizing these local businesses and shops, you'll be helping Henry and his family.
